Journey Middle School Program
Journey Application Criteria
Journey is an application-based program. There are four ways you can qualify:
- Gifted qualification at 97 percentile or above in two areas: verbal, quantitative or non-verbal.
- Gifted qualification at 97 percentile or above in one area, AND 90 percentile or above in the other two areas.
- Gifted qualification at 97 percentile or above in one area, AND 90 percentile or above in one other area, PLUS a principal recommendation**.
- IQ of 135 or higher.
PLUS performing or highly performing in AASA reading and math in the previous school year.
**If a principal recommendation is needed, please contact the Gifted Education Department's Administrative Assistant to initiate the recommendation.
