About Our School

Mountain Trail Middle School opened its doors in 2002 and is situated in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, slightly off Cave Creek Road and south of Pinnacle Peak Road.
 
Mountain Trail has many talented seventh and eighth graders who call Mountain Trail their home. Students enjoy a close-knit learning community that fosters intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development in a respectful environment.
 
The school is passionate about increasing student understanding, promoting excellence and fairness in learning, enhancing critical thinking skills, presenting a diversity of perspectives, and integrating technology into the curriculum.

Vision

The Vision of Mountain Trail Middle School is to provide a place where...students want to go to school, parents want to send their children and teachers want to teach.  A place where students will feel included and be nurtured by motivated and enthusiastic professionals.  Students will leave MTMS academically prepared to succeed in high school and with positive feelings about their middle school experience.
